Employment issues must be resolved swiftly and decisively. We know the theories beyond the legislation, but what we offer clients is practical, down-to-earth advice, tailored to the day-to-day realities of employment relations.
Our EU Employment Law Practice focuses on areas where a purely national perspective cannot give the complete answer. The multinational ability of our Brussels office adds significant value for clients. We work to support other White & Case offices, as well as directly with our own clients.
Our work covers pan-EU policy issues (e.g. standards of conduct, smoking policies). We give advice on complex and specialized cross-border legal issues, such as those relating to European Works Councils.
Other employment matters on which we frequently advise include atypical working practices, pan-European restructuring, discrimination, analysing companies' potential employment, EU data protection, and health and safety liabilities on an EU-wide basis.
In addition, we closely follow employment law developments in the EU institutions in Brussels. We advise our clients on how those developments may affect their businesses in the future and how they can turn things in their favour.
